MEYER WHITWORTH AWARD

Stuart Mullins was one of the judges for the 2007 Meyer-Whitworth award. The £10,000 prize was awarded to Morna Pearson for her play Distracted.  The award is administered by the Playwrights Studio, and funded by the Scotland Royal National Theatre Foundation, as a result of a past donation from the Meyer and Whitworth families. 

Stuart says: “The standard of the six short listed plays was very high. The piece is truly theatrical and could be created through no other medium – its visual, visceral, poetical and magical…..it's ‘theatre’.”

Stuart’s experience will now be put to good use. As we help to deliver the 2008 University of Hertfordshire Writing Award. READ ON...
