its our theatre: Thurrock Case Study

Roxy Jonson is pictured here performing at the Herts Slam at the University of Hertfordshire in April 2010. Roxy is one of the most promising dancers involved in our work with young people in Thurrock. Led by filmmaker Paul Carpenter (Alchemy Productions) we have been tracking Roxy's experiences with us in a film soon available. Here we have asked Roxy to share her thoughts.

Q. What were the main challenges for you during it's our theatre?

The main challenge was the rapping ‘cos I can’t rap! It was challenging doing it's our theatre but It was a shove to get you to do things you wouldn’t usually do... like I can't rap... and then I was given the mike and I was doing it!      continue ›
