WORKING WITH UH

After the success of the UH Writing Award it was heartening to hear that applications to join the Creative Writing Degree had increased by 60%. So even in its first year the Award has had a very positive effect.

We are now planning towards an even bigger Award in 2010, working with more regional partners to engage and inspire even more young people aged 14 to 19 to not only to write plays but to aspire to a place at university.  Can you help us reach more young people in 2010?  email and let us know.

We are also working with the University and Digital Fluid  to create a new piece of technology which will engage and excite an audience even before they come to see a show. Theatre Beyond Walls will enhance the theatre experience by downloading clips of video or pictorial images to an audience member when they buy a ticket. It will then take them on a journey to the theatre navigating them towards clues about the show or even where to buy a pizza! We will let you know more about this in our April bulletin.
