TIGHTROPE

Building on the very successful development phase in Bristol in 2008, the professional production of TIGHTROPE will take place in Bristol, York, Thurrock and London in Spring 2011; Tightrope will merge theatre, circus, graffiti, digital art, dance and music into a unique site-specific performance speaking honestly and directly to the young people. Tightrope is a project in development by THEATRE IS... co-produced in partnership with Cirque Bijou, the Port of Tilbury, York Theatre Royal and Unicorn Theatre. 

Anna Reynolds adaptation of Gillian Cross' novel of the same name, will explore the themes of a fractured society, the challenges facing young carers and the powerful role art can play in regenerating challenged communities. You can find out more at tightropeproject.co.uk
