In 2008 THEATRE IS…met a young shy drummer from Norfolk, in just twelve months our national pilot project it’s our theatre has developed Tom Povey into the highly skilled beat boxer Intensi-T and a creative entrepreneur of the future. Here he talks about his experience and the creation of a new young company, ‘Encore’.

The Encore Events Team goes way back to March 2008, when THEATRE IS…with Throwdown UK and the Sheringham Little Theatre came to our School with their ‘it’s our theatre’ Roadshow recruiting literally hundreds of us to their workshops in all four elements of Hip Hop: Rap/Spoken word, Graffiti, Breakdance, Dj-ing and the ‘fifth’ element Beatboxing.
