As you can see from the photos on the Tightrope website  we had a fabulous five weeks resulting in an hour long presentation and the sharing of three scenes developed in partnership with the Circomedia BTEC Students.

To some five weeks to develop a project may seem indulgent. Not at all! Tightrope is so much more than just a show; it’s a site specific event, it’s the development of young artists, it’s the regeneration of challenged communities, it’s a highly sophisticated piece of theatre.

In those five weeks I believe we discovered a model of development that other producers and arts organisations who focus on young people could engage in. The integrity of the project lies in developing our work through and with young people. A key part of that was our partnership with Circomedia and eight of their 16 to 19 BTE
