THEATRE IS... National Portfolio Organisation News
Last week we heard that THEATRE IS... was unsuccessful in being granted National Portfolio status; this is a direct result of central government cuts in arts funding. Although the news is disappointing, it has been encouraging to hear the support that we have received from colleagues and partners and all our stakeholders, not least the Arts Council. In the next few weeks and months we will be working to develop an exciting future both here in the region, nationally and in Europe. In the meantime we are focusing on our work in Luton, Thurrock and Hertfordshire, developing some of the region's new young talent.
