STEPHANIE GRAINGER

After originally training as an actor, Stephanie became involved in teaching drama early in her career. Since then she has been involved in training actors at Manchester Metropolitan, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. As a lecturer of drama and acting she has been directed many student productions and has worked hard to build links between the students’ experience and local theatres. In 1997 she moved to the University of Hertfordshire and now as Acting Head of the School of Humanities she is responsible for 40 staff and over seven hundred students studying across a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and franchise programmes.

She currently works closely with the UH Arts team on the UH creative play writing award in conjunction with, Watford Palace, THEATRE IS… and Menagerie Theatre.
