I feel this project is a model, for good practice, in that it has been visible, accessible, of a high quality and has clearly been a successful vehicle in generating participation. The project has created a creative buzz, amongst young people who have, for example, subsequently formed singing and dance groups, independently, to rehearse for future “Slam nights. “

It has been very evident, that the Artists have had a genuine enthusiasm for the Community in which they have worked, and successfully engaged, motivated and inspired the participants.  In response the young people involved have shown commitment, a willingness to  experiment with contemporary art forms, and they have all contributed to the underlying ethos of team-work, cooperation and peer support. Participants have learnt new skills, and in so doing have grown in confidence and self belief.

'It's Our Theatre' has proved to be an exciting and innovative project.  In terms of access and engagement of young people it has exceeded all our expectations. THEATRE IS... have managed to bring together an excellent team who have provided a product of extreme quality. This high profile project has ignited imagination and stimulated arts activity, encouraging young people to take ownership, helping them to develop and sustain their work.
