Linda Arkley

A practicing Fine Artist based in Colchester, who specialises in Light Installation and Sculpture made from recycled materials. Linda also has a background in Fashion Design and is a confident maker. For the past year Linda has worked as an Artist in Education and has coordinated and ran numerous gallery and school based workshops, involving families, teenagers, mothers and babies and Primary School groups. In 2006 Linda worked alongside WILDWORKS Theatre Company on the landscape theatre production of ‘Soutterain’. 

Linda said the following about her experiences in the development week:

“Working along side the Apple Cart development team was a unique experience. 

I came into the project as a visual artist wishing to integrate other sensory elements into my practice. The creative interaction with artists/professionals from other disciplines inspired me and has prompted me into exploring new ways to incorporate rhythmical sound, water and light projection into my art installations. As a result, the new developments will enable me to create multi sensory installations that can be experienced by a wider audience”.
