JOHN TURNER

John is a specialist lecturer in world and sacred theatre, and an experienced trainer in the application of these theatre methods into modern theatre and education. 

He passionately believes in the importance of theatre as an educational and developmental medium, and has run workshops in Europe, Canada, Israel and America over the last 25 years the central theme of which has been to create opportunity for and liberate potential in people from all walks of life and a range of ages.

Originally trained in Stage Direction at the Drama Centre, London and with a BA Hons in Theatre Studies from Rose Bruford College, John’s theatre experience includes stage directing, teaching and lecturing. 

 John also has considerable experience working within the voluntary sector.  Roles have included trustee, director and volunteer, with good success in bid writing, fundraising, strategic and executive management.
