IT'S OUR THEATRE BEGINS

Offering a new future for youth theatre. Funded by Arts Council England’s Young People’s Participatory Theatre Programme; it’s our theatre will literally be hitting the streets, skate parks and street corners of North Norfolk this February. Led by Charlie Morley, our team of breakers, rappers, graffers and dancers, will be showcasing their talents to young people wherever they are, engaging them in a journey that will help them become the next generation of creative entrepreneurs and cultural leaders. 

Having grabbed their attention we are offering North Norfolk’s young people numerous opportunities to learn skills and develop their talents. Using artforms associated with Hip Hop culture to create an accessible, entrepreneurial and fun ethos, it’s our theatre will support these young people to create their very own live events and to create a new piece of Hip Hop theatre.  

One of the unique elements of this project is that it will bring what are essentially urban artforms into a very rural environment, where we have already found a huge appetite amongst the areas young people.  

One of the key elements of It’s Our Theatre is having highly talented artists who can relate to the participants, as their peers. This is a significant injection of new and exciting artists into the East of England.
