Dorcas Werber

A director, writer and performer, dividing her time between my own company, ChoppedLogic, and work on other projects. ChoppedLogic creates new theatre performances, usually mixing several media, such as spoken text, dance, puppetry. Dorcas is particularly interested in complex narratives, and in experimenting with form. In the past year, in the East, Dorcas worked with Teatro de los Sentidos at the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, with Creative Partnerships in Norfolk, and with Eastern Angles and the New Wolsey in Ipswich. Her last show, Double Negative, was on in Ipswich and London.

Dorcas has also spent time in the Czech Republic, Edinburgh and France for workshops, teaching and writing.

"For me, the most interesting parts of this work occupy two ends of a spectrum; on the one hand, the freedom and playfulness of working in a swimming pool with a group of strangers; on the other, gaining an insight into what this type of work can do for people with complex learning disabilities. I found the two extremes fascinating, and am keen to find out more in the future."
