The work with the roadshows for It's Our Theatre is incredibly exciting. It is an opportunity to present young people with a window to another world: a world of expression and fun. I feel confident that we will be able to reach, inspire and empower young people that wouldn’t normally have access to this kind of thing- young, unique, vibrant voices.The ethos of Theatre Is… particularly resonates with me… to respect its participants and treat them as young emerging artists rather than as just kids taking part in a workshop. This work is clearly about empowerment, both for the participants & for the artists.

I once heard Kevin Spacey say- “If you have been successful at doing what you dreamed of doing with your life, then it is your obligation to spend a good portion of your time sending the elevator back down,” For myself as an artist, the skills that I have chosen to dedicate my time to allow me the opportunity to articulate my inner world, to find a voice- either through words or music- for my imagination. In a world that is increasingly preoccupied with what can be taken from it, art offers one of the few bastions that is purely about what you have to give.
