I then figured, why can’t it be more than a night in a club, why not give something more, like free workshops, involvement with the production process, or even get the audience on the stage with the professionals performing! It had not been done before, because there was no demand, but that doesn’t mean that a demand can’t be created! The audience doesn’t realise what they have been missing until they have been to SLAM!

When producing a SLAM! entertainment and audience opportunities are at the same priority level, making sure it will involve many young people, teach them new skills both in the workshops and during production and ultimately, increase their opportunities and employability.

Getting local emerging acts on the stage at this event will also improve their reputation and give them all an important head start into the entertainment industry. I hope to make this a monthly event, primarily at the Arena Nightclub in Great Yarmouth, but with the potential to expand to neighboring towns and involve hundreds of 16 – 19 year olds in the county!
